Commemorating Bangabandhu- digitally
This is 7 March today. A unique day in the history of the struggle for freedom and liberation. On this day in 1971, the Father of Bangali nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman called the people of the land for struggling wholeheartedly with whatever they had for the cause of liberation of the country standing before a huge crowd in Racecourse ground, Dhaka.
The day has been observed both by government and non-government agencies in a befitting manner. Due to pandemic situations apart from offline initiatives, the day has been observed largely on digital platforms.
People recalled the sky height contributions of Bangabandhu including his historic speech on 7 March 1971 which directed the people towards the liberation war. Islamic University (IU), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University for Science and Technology, Gopalgonj, National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Rajshahi University, and other universities observed the day both physically and digitally.
